To review our academic program in view of new research about student learning and cognitive development, assess the value and outcomes of our College Model Academic Program, and develop vision for academic competitiveness according to our mission.

45% of the faculty agree that there should be clearer expectations of the content and skills taught in each course.

54% faculty agree that they prioritize teaching skills over teaching content.

73% of faculty claim that their curriculum is designed with the school’s mission in mind.

KEY RECOMMENDATIONS:

Codify essential content, skills, and core competencies
Establish a baseline and ongoing evaluation of programs
Institute capstone and May-term programs

Every NMH student will develop skills in communication and collaboration, then have the opportunity to deeply explore a meaningful topic, integrating the skills and content they have learned.
